About the map data
- Data in this map is for general information purposes only, and should not be used for plan review or other “official” purposes.
- Inventory data for trees maintained by the SDOT was updated in 2007 and 2008 and SDOT has continued to update plantings in the inventory.
- Since the initial inventory was completed in 1992, over 25,000 street trees have been planted. Funding for these trees has come from SDOT Capital Improvement Projects and “Bridging the Gap” Plantings, City Light’s Urban Tree Replacement Program, the Department of Neighborhoods Tree Fund, private development, and private citizens.
- Trees that were inventoried in 1990 – 1992 will not display diameter information unless the “Last Verified Date” field is populated with a recent date.
