Updated: February 16, 2021

What's happening now?

Thank you to all who participated in the community prioritization process for this Neighborhood Street Fund project. We completed design and we're on track to build this community-requested project this year.

Project Overview

This project will help connect the future Highland Park Elementary Neighborhood Greenway and will be coordinated with King Country Metro's Rapid Ride H Line project.

  • New flashing beacon at the intersection of Delridge Way SW and SW Barton St

  • New curb ramps and curb bulb at Delridge Way SW and SW Barton

  • New marked crosswalks at the intersection of Delridge Way SW and SW Barton St

  • Flashing beacons stop car traffic to allow people who walk and bike to safely cross the intersection

  • New curb ramps enhance accessibility for people using mobility devices, riding bikes, or pushing strollers

Project Background

This is one of 15 Neighborhood Street Fund projects requested by neighbors and selected by the Levy to Move Seattle Oversight Committee. Neighborhood Street Fund is a city program, running on 3-year cycles, that enables neighbors to propose and help prioritize transportation-related projects that are then built by the Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT).
