Aurora-Licton Healthy Street
Updated December 1, 2023
What's Happening Now?
We are excited to announce that the permanent Aurora-Licton Healthy Street will be installed as soon as summer 2024! This means replacing the temporary signs with permanent signs supported by either concrete sign bases or planters.
Thank you to all who participated in our evaluation process for this Healthy Street! Based on the extensive community feedback we received, we have updated our design for the permanent Healthy Street, and have included additional safety enhancements for the project. The safety enhancements include improved visibility and sightlines to create safer routes for people walking, biking, and rolling, as well as a new two-way protected bike lane on N 100th St and a connection to the John Lewis Memorial Bridge and Northgate Light Rail Station. These enhancements respond to the community’s requests for increased traffic calming and infrastructure for biking, walking, and rolling. To explore the updated designs, see “Design Elements” section below.
