B. F. Day Playground Play Area Renovation

Updated: January 17, 2023

Early 2023

Seattle Parks and Recreation (SPR) has resumed construction at the BF Day Playfield play area project. Winter 2023 marks the arrival and installation of the playground equipment and continued progress on construction throughout. Previously, the curved seating wall and the sand play area were completed. More improvements are underway. Since access is being provided through the ballfield at the prior request by the community, the project will require continued use of this field until the project is complete. Therefore, SPR will not be scheduling the typical activities at that field until we have a better understanding of the completion of construction.
